DML Morning Briefing Nov 30
Today is November 30 and I am Dennis Michael Lynch. Below are my opinions on the stories grabbing headlines this morning. I hope you share this briefing as doing so will make you the smartest person in the room, in my opinion.
1.Appeals court to weigh Trump arguments to withhold records
WASHINGTON (AP) — Former President Donald Trump’s lawyers will try to persuade a federal appeals court to stop Congress from receiving call logs, drafts of speeches and other documents related to the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol led by his supporters.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit will hear arguments Tuesday from lawyers for Trump and the House committee seeking the records as part of its investigation into the riot.
Trump’s attorneys want the court to reverse a federal judge’s ruling allowing the National Archives and Records Administration to turn over the records after President Joe Biden waived executive privilege. Judge Tanya Chutkan rejected Trump’s claims that he could exert executive privilege overriding Biden, noting in part, “Presidents are not kings, and Plaintiff is not president.” The appeals court issued an administrative stay after Chutkan’s ruling to review the case.
DML: Note to world: Trump is out of power. Instead, can we get Hunter Biden’s records, or how about Joe Biden’s records? Oh wait! I nearly forgot… We have the records, they exist on Hunter’s laptop. But nobody in DC or the media cares to see or report the truth about the Biden dealings with foreign agents, and it so it’s business as usual: Go after Trump.
2. CNN feeling the pressure about dirty Cuomo
Fox News -CNN was forced to issue a statement amid the damning revelations of its star anchor Chris Cuomo and his unprecedented involvement in his brother’s inner circle as the now-ousted New York governor was engulfed in scandal.
Newly-released testimony from the New York Attorney General’s investigation into the now-ousted Gov. Andrew Cuomo shows the “Cuomo Prime Time” host heavily worked with the Democrat’s inner circle to combat the sexual misconduct allegations against him, even relying on sources in the media on the reporting that was being done on the governor’s accusers.
Text messages released by state investigators showed top Andrew Cuomo aide Melissa DeRosa asking about “intel” the CNN anchor had on March 15 about Ronan Farrow’s reporting on the scandal, to which he replied it wasn’t ready for publication. Farrow’s story was eventually published by the New Yorker on March 18.
Cuomo’s admission contradicts what he told CNN viewers in August when he claimed, “I never made calls to the press about my brother’s situation.”
The anchor also admitted to investigators he provided the governor’s office advice on his brother’s messaging of his handling of the coronavirus outbreak.
Hours after the revelations went viral and caused an uproar among critics across the media landscape, CNN offered a tepid response to the growing scandal.
“The thousands of pages of additional transcripts and exhibits that were released today by the NY Attorney General deserves a thorough review and consideration,” CNN stated. “We will be having conversations and seeking additional clarity about their significance as they relate to CNN over the next several days.”
DML: The entire family is corrupt. In my opinion, the dead father, Mario, who also served as NY governor, was a dirt bag and backroom dealer. The apple did not fall far from the tree. How and why CNN held onto Cuomo this long is a mystery, but make no mistake Cuomo is gone. He’ll resign or be fired by Friday.
3.UK competition regulator tells Facebook owner Meta to sell GIF maker Giphy
Reuters -Nov 30 (Reuters) – Britain’s competition regulator has told Facebook owner Meta Platforms to sell animated images platform Giphy after finding that the acquisition could harm social media users and UK advertisers, dealing a blow to the U.S.-based tech giant.
The Competition and Markers Authority (CMA) said on Tuesday the decision was in line with provisional findings that Facebook’s acquisition of Giphy in May last year would reduce competition between social media platforms and in the display advertising market.
Facebook, recently rebranded as Meta Platforms, said it could appeal the CMA’s decision.
DML: At the end of the day, Facebook runs the world. They will do whatever they want one way or another. And sadly, the scum in DC will allow it to happen.
4.Travis Scott’s offer to pay funeral expenses for Astroworld victim Ezra Blount, nine, is rejected by family
Daily Mail – The family of the youngest of 10 people who died at the Astroworld festival earlier this month, nine-year-old Ezra Blount, has rejected an offer Travis Scott made to pay for the boy’s funeral.
‘Your client’s offer is declined,’ the family’s attorney Bob Hilliard told Scott’s lawyer Daniel Petrocelli in a letter obtained by Rolling Stone. ‘I have no doubt Mr. Scott feels remorse. His journey ahead will be painful.
‘He must face and hopefully see that he bears some of the responsibility for this tragedy.’
Ezra Blount, who was from Dallas, was among the 10 people who died as result of injures suffered amid a crowd surge at the November 5 festival at NRG Park in Houston.

DML: Scott’s career should be over and he should be cancelled from every platform on the internet. The lawsuits should put him in a career ending lock box forever.
5.Moderna CEO says it will take months to clear a new Covid vaccine targeting omicron
CNBC -Moderna CEO Stephane Bancel on Monday said it will take months to develop and ship a vaccine that specifically targets the omicron variant of the virus that causes Covid-19.
However, a higher 100-microgram dose of the company’s booster shot could be ready much sooner.
“The higher dose could be done right away but it will be months before the omicron specific variant is ready to ship in massive quantities,” Bancel told CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”
Bancel said Moderna believes the omicron variant is highly infectious, but it will take at least two weeks to determine how much the mutations have impacted the efficacy of the vaccines currently on the market.
DML: The race to scare the crap out of you is on. Check out these tweets from this morning, then read my response below.
DML2: Did you listen to my podcast yesterday? Did you hear the Covid-nurse who worked with Covid patients for months… she said she never got Covid herself. She was not vaccinated either. She attributes her success to her strong immune system, diet, and exercise. But that sort of thing doesn’t sell vaccines, nor does it scare the world into closing again. On a side note, she was removed from her position as a nurse because she wouldn’t get the jab. How insane has the country become? So insane it’s got to men with a combined age exceeding 150 years old running the USA (Biden / Fauci).
