Today is June 30. Below are some of the stories grabbing headlines this morning. I hope you share this briefing as doing so will make you the smartest person in the room.
1.New York City woman pushing baby in stroller on Upper East Side shot dead
Fox News – A shooting on New York City’s Upper East Side on Wednesday night has left a 20-year-old woman dead.
The shooting happened on East 95th St and Lexington Ave in Manhattan when the woman was pushing a 3-month-old baby in a stroller around 8:30 p.m. ET.
The victim was taken to a hospital and was pronounced dead an hour later, NYPD Commissioner Keechant L. Sewell said in a 10:30 p.m. press conference.
The suspect, described as a man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants, ran away eastbound on 95th after shooting the woman once in the head.
DML: And the useless Mayor Adams, who can be described as a liberal with a chip on his shoulder, has done nothing to improve the crime rate in NYC.
2.About half say Trump should be charged for 1/6: poll
(AP) — About half of Americans believe former President Donald Trump should be charged with a crime for his role in the U.S. Capitol attack on Jan. 6, 2021, a new poll shows.
The survey from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research finds that 48% of U.S. adults say the Republican former president should be charged with a crime for his role, while 31% say he should not be charged. An additional 20% say they don’t know enough to have an opinion. Fifty-eight percent say Trump bears a great deal or quite a bit of responsibility for what happened that day.
The poll was conducted after five public hearings by the House committee investigating Jan. 6, which has sought to paint Trump’s potential criminal culpability in the events that led to deadly insurrection. But it was taken before Tuesday’s surprise hearing featuring former Trump White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson. Her explosive testimony provided the most compelling evidence yet that the former president could be linked to a federal crime, experts say.
DML: I have to laugh at these news outlets. The AP, like so many other major outlets who are drowning in liberal ideology, have the audacity to leave facts out of the articles they publish. The ignore telling the whole story. (1) It was not an insurrection, it was a protest turned ugly. And it was led by radicals who are no better than Black Lives Matter. (2) Hutchinson’s testimony is laden with hearsay. Her so called “bomb shell” accusations about the limo ride are not first hand. (3) The AP fails to state how the kangaroo court is a one-way street. There is no cross examination, and the defense (Trump) has no chance to provide witnesses who would destroy her testimony with first hand knowledge of the events. We have lost out way as a country. I have to believe that at this point, Uncle Sam probably has a MADE IN CHINA stamped on his ass.
3.S&P 500 futures fall 1.5%, worst market since COVID
CNBC – US stock index futures declined early on Thursday morning, as the S&P 500 prepares to wrap its worst first half in decades.
Futures contracts tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average shed 363 points, or 1.2%. S&P 500 futures slipped 1.5%, and Nasdaq 100 futures pulled back by 1.7%.
The Dow and S&P 500 are on track for their worst three-month period since the first quarter of 2020 when Covid lockdowns sent stocks tumbling. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite is down more than 20% over the last three months, its worst stretch since 2008.
DML: Are you shocked? I am not. I knew this was coming because Joe Biden’s policies are more economically harmful than Covid. In other economic news, if you care about boosting the immune system, today is the last day for the site wide DML CBD BOGO (Buy One Get One free). DMLcbd.com/bogo
4.Fauci: US ‘Absolutely’ Still in a Covid-19 Pandemic, Pushes Vaccines
Bloomberg – Dr. Anthony Fauci, chief medical adviser to the US president, told Bloomberg news that while the ratio of Covid-19 cases to hospitalizations and deaths is much lower compared to several months ago, the pandemic isn’t over and people must continue to seek vaccinations and boosters while wearing masks in indoor settings. Interview recorded on June 8, 2022.
DML: Today is the last day for the huge DML CBD BOGO special, which is expected to be the last buy one get one free special for a while due to Biden policies. So if you want to boost the immune system you’ll take advantage. Then when your immune system is solid a few months from now, send Fauci an email and ask why he didn’t tell Bloomberg about the CBD / COVID study on his website (NIH). Here is the opening paragraph… “The rapid spread of COVID-19 underscores the need for new treatments. Here we report that cannabidiol (CBD), a compound produced by the cannabis plant, inhibits SARS-CoV-2 infection. It goes on to say that CBD can potently “block SARS-CoV-2 replication in lung epithelial cells, and that CBD acts after cellular infection, inhibiting viral gene expression and reversing many effects of SARS-CoV-2 on host gene transcription. It continues by stating CBD induces interferon expression and up-regulates its antiviral signaling pathway. A cohort of human patients previously taking CBD had significantly lower SARSCoV-2 infection incidence of up to an order of magnitude relative to matched pairs or the general population. This study highlights CBD, and its active metabolite, 7-OH-CBD, as potential preventative agents and therapeutic treatments for SARS-CoV-2 at early stages of infection.” DMLcbd.com/bogo
5.California Makes History: First State in U.S. Giving Food Stamps to Illegal Aliens
Breitbart – The sanctuary state of California will make history by becoming the first state in the nation to give food stamps to illegal aliens.
This week, Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) announced a budget deal with Democrat state legislators that includes providing food stamps, paid for by California’s taxpayers, to illegal aliens 55 and older — the first initiative of its kind in the United States.
DML: And the liberal media and DC elite try to sell us the bullsh*t narrative that illegal aliens don’t vote in elections.
