New jobs report, teen cop shooter, Mayorkas BEGS illegals to return, and more!
By Team DML
Today is February 4 and I am Dennis Michael Lynch. Below are my opinions on the stories grabbing headlines this morning. I hope you share this briefing as doing so will make you the smartest person in the room, in my opinion.
1 – Payrolls rise more than expected in January despite omicron surge
CNBC reports: Payrolls rose far more than expected in January despite surging omicron cases that seemingly sent millions of workers to the sidelines, the Labor Department reported Friday.
Nonfarm payrolls surged by 467,000 for the month, while the unemployment rate edged higher to 4%, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The Dow Jones estimate was for payroll growth of 150,000 and a 3.9% unemployment rate.
The stunning gain came a week after the White House warned that the numbers could be low due to the pandemic.
Covid cases, however, have plunged nationally in recent weeks, with the seven-day moving average down more than 50% since peaking in mid-January, according to the CDC. Most economists, while expecting January’s number to be weak, see a further rebound coming in the months ahead.
DML: Of course! As governors and mayors continue to defy Biden and declare an END to this ‘pandemic,’ the jobs will come back. But it’s no credit to Biden.
By the way, here’s another message I have for Joe Biden: No Joe, killing off a member of ISIS isn’t going to distract us from the other issues you’ve caused. And as a reminder, you caused the terrorism issue to elevate by leaving Afghanistan like a two-bit circus act. Bottom line is this: It’s really easy to get your poll numbers up: (1) Secure the border, (2) end ALL the mandates, (3) allow the free flow of energy production, (4) end the race-baiting commentary, and (5) nominate the person best qualified for the open seat on SCOTUS (versus selecting someone by skin color and gender). Amen.
2 – Teen rapper charged with shooting NYPD cop in custody again for violating probation
The New York Post reports: A 16-year-old reputed gangbanger who allegedly shot an NYPD cop in the Bronx is back in custody Thursday on a probation violation — just one week after posting bail.
Williams was on probation in a 2020 gun case when he allegedly got into a scuffle with police officers in Belmont on Jan. 18 and shot the 27-year-old cop.
The teen was hit with assault and weapons charges in that case, with Bronx prosecutors asking that the troubled teen be held without bail pending his next court date.
But Acting Bronx Supreme Court Justice Denis Boyle set his bond at $250,000, which Williams posted on Jan. 27 — reportedly with an advance he received after signing a recording contract with Interscope Records.
DML: This kid shot a cop – he should have never been released in the first place!
3 – Seven Americans to play against USA on China’s hockey team
The Washington Examiner reports: Eighteen of the 25 players representing China on its men’s ice hockey team at the Beijing Olympics were born or raised in North America, and many have no Chinese ancestry or connection to the country.
Seven of the players are American, 11 are Canadian, and one is Russian, according to a report.
One of those Americans is 30-year-old defenseman Jake Chelios, the son of American hockey legend and three-time Stanley Cup champion Chris Chelios. In 2002, the younger Chelios watched his father represent the United States at the 2002 Winter Olympics, and now he is set to face off against his father’s team and his home nation on Feb. 10.
Players such as Chelios are allowed to play for China because the International Ice Hockey Federation permits players to represent a nation after living there for two years.
The overwhelmingly foreign players of the Chinese national team all play for the Kunlun team. Despite the fact that the team recently relocated to Moscow during the pandemic, the IIHF affirmed that non-Chinese nationals were eligible to play for China.
DML: This is SERIOUSLY messed up!
4 – DHS Mayorkas: Agency Helps Deported Migrants Return Via ‘Family Separation’ Claims
Breitbart reports: Federal law requires individuals who enter the United States illegally be separated from the children they bring with them, but Department of Homeland Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said on Wednesday his agency is putting a “structure” in place to facilitate bringing deported adults into the country under the claim of family unification.
Taxpayer-funded National Public Radio (NPR) helped Mayorkas advance the narrative, reporting that Biden signed executive orders “to unravel Trump-era immigration policies that separated thousands of families, including the creation of a task force to reunite some of the families that were separated at the U.S. southern border.”
One year ago, Biden created a task force to implement his executive order. The NPR host also noted that of the 4,000 children who were separated from their parents, 2,187 had been reunited before President Donald Trump left office.
Mayorkas claimed his agency is making progress on the issue. He said:
We have accomplished a great deal. When we commenced our task force one year ago, what we encountered was an absence of records of the families who were separated, or incomplete or inaccurate records. And our first challenge was to actually identify the separated families. We have thus far reunified more than 120 families. We are in the process of reunifying more than 400. And we are present in the countries of origin to reach other families and encourage them to come forward.
DML: The Biden administration is trying to take this country right off the cliff.
5 – Liberal news outlets completely avoid Johns Hopkins study finding COVID lockdowns ineffective
Fox News reports: There has been a full-on media blackout of the new study outlining the ineffectiveness of lockdowns to prevent COVID deaths.
According to a Johns Hopkins University meta-analysis of several studies, lockdowns during the first COVID wave in the spring of 2020 only reduced COVID mortality by .2% in the U.S. and Europe.
“While this meta-analysis concludes that lockdowns have had little to no public health effects, they have imposed enormous economic and social costs where they have been adopted,” the researchers wrote. “In consequence, lockdown policies are ill-founded and should be rejected as a pandemic policy instrument.”
However, the Johns Hopkins study received no mention on any of the five liberal networks this week. According to Grabien transcripts, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS and NBC all ignored the anti-lockdown findings after having spent much of the pandemic shaming red states with minimal restrictions and events deemed by critics as “superspreaders.”
It wasn’t just the networks avoiding the study. The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Associated Press, Reuters, USA Today, Axios, Politico among other outlets also turned a blind eye to the findings, according to search results.
DML: And what about FAUCI… why isn’t HE speaking up about this new study either? Now it’s out there for everyone to see… the emperor has no clothes. This has been a scam all along!
Take a look at this outrageous scene:
