Biden touts new world order, Kamala gets stuck, and more…

Today is March 22 and I am Dennis Michael Lynch. Below are my opinions on the stories grabbing headlines this morning. I hope you share this briefing as doing so will make you the smartest person in the room, in my opinion.
1 – Biden claims admin has improved economy as inflation hits record high
Fox Business reports: President Biden on Monday touted his administration’s achievements in improving the economy, but noticeably failed to address key developments that are biting into the pocketbooks of many Americans.
“Our economic strategy has worked – and it’s still working,” Biden wrote in a tweet.
He claimed that 6.7 million jobs were created in 2021, unemployment is down nearly 4%, the economy has grown 5.7% and the deficit was reduced last year by $360 billion.
The Labor Department released a report earlier this month showing that consumer inflation, propelled by surging costs for gas, food and housing, jumped nearly 8% over the year – the sharpest spike since 1982.
Meanwhile, the national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline reached $4.33 a gallon last week.
Joe Biden Meets with Top CEOs: Global Catastrophes Present ‘Opportunities’ to Lead ‘New World Order’
Breitbart reports: President Joe Biden expressed Monday his desire to lead a “new world order” during a conversation with business leaders, noting the coronavirus pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine would help reset the status quo.
“My mother had an expression, ‘Out of everything terrible something good will come if you look hard enough for it,’” Biden recalled.
The president spoke about the current global climate during a speech with some of America’s top CEOs attending the Business Roundtable lobbying group’s quarterly meeting.
“I think this presents us with some significant opportunities to make some real changes,” he said. “Now is the time when things are shifting, there’s going to be a new world order out there, we’ve got to lead it, and we’ve got to unite the rest of the free world while doing it,” he concluded.
DML: Magoo, we don’t WANT your new world order – we want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN – and you are NOT doing it!
2 – Kamala Harris stuck in ‘the passage of time’
The Washington Examiner reports: Conservatives are poking fun at some repetitive comments Vice President Kamala Harris made regarding the “significance of the passage of time.”
Harris repeated the phrase “the passage of time” at least four times within the span of a minute, seeming unable to move the conversation forward during remarks she made in Sunset, Louisiana, on Monday.
“We were all doing a tour of the library here and talking about the significance of the passage of time right. The significance of the passage of time, so when you think about it there is great significance to passage of time,” Harris said. “There is such great significance to the passage of time when you think of a day in the life of our children.
DML: Somebody help. 80 million people really voted for THIS?????
3 – MSNBC’s Chris Hayes claims conservative majority in SCOTUS was ‘dubiously obtained’
Fox News reports: MSNBC host Chris Hayes raised social media eyebrows by claiming that the conservative majority on the Supreme Court was suspiciously obtained.
During the Senate hearing for Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson on Monday, the “All In” host attacked what he called conservative “whining” over the judge. He further added that conservatives have no reason to complain with a court majority that was “dubiously obtained.”
“Conservatives love nothing more than to be both victor and victim. Just utterly addicted to whining even with a dubiously obtained 6-3 majority and Roe about to fall,” Hayes tweeted.
DML: This guy gets paid millions to spew garbage. Hayes, here’s what was “dubiously obtained”…. Joe Biden in the White House!
4 – Nuclear missile convoy carrying up to six warheads spotted in Glasgow
The Daily Mail reports: A military convoy was spotted carrying up to six nuclear warheads headed along the motorway through Glasgow to an arms depot on Friday.
The convoy was seen only a mile south of Glasgow city centre, heading to Royal Naval Armaments Depot Coulport on Loch Long, according to NukeWatch, an organisation that tracks and monitors the convoys that transport the UK’s Trident nuclear warheads.
The weapons of mass destruction were a ‘reminder of the UK’s contribution to nuclear terror,’ the group said, amid heighting tensions between NATO and Russia – which recently put its own nuclear weapons on high alert.
The route is a common one for UK defense vehicles, where Trident nuclear warheads were also spotted in May 2021, according to Glasgow Live.
The nuclear-armed convoy passed over Erskine Bridge, heading up along the M6 motorway near Kendal, before being spotted on the M74 at Lesmahagow and arriving in Loch Long at approximately 11:30pm on Saturday.
DML: Since weak Magoo got in the White House, the whole world is now on edge. We need REAL LEADERS FAST or this is not going to end well.
5 – Major Apple services including iMessage, iCloud back online after widespread outage
USA Today reports: Apple Music, iMessage, iCloud, and Apple Maps were among a number of Apple services affected by a widespread outage.
The outage lasted several hours, with several of Apple’s services gradually coming back online. As of 4:09 p.m. Eastern time, all service outages had been resolved, according to the company’s latest update on its System Status page.
The outage impacted popular services including iMessage, iCloud and its digital App Store. The outage also reportedly affected businesses that run on the downed systems, including Apple’s own retail stores.
Apple retail stores had been unable to conduct regular business that rely on its systems like product repairs and item pick ups, Business Insider reported. The outage also affected employees at Apple’s corporate operations, limiting workers’ ability to communicate internally.
DML: Who else thinks we’d all be better off without depending on this technology anyway?
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT….
